Operation Santa is the largest stocking drive in the nation with volunteers from 50 states.
Approximately two - three weeks before Thanksgiving, stockings will be stuffed and shipped to all branches of our Armed Forces serving around the globe, Combat Support Hospitals, and K-9 units. Operation Santa has sent over 249,722 Christmas stockings to our deployed troops. Our stockings have gone to Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, South Korea, Djibouti, Algeria, Kosovo, Bosnia, and Kuwait.
Our mission is to give joy to as many service members as possible serving far from home this holiday season. If you have a loved one serving overseas, please send us his/her name, address and how many are serving in his/her company. We will gladly include them in our shipping. You may send their information to OpSanta.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why do we continue to do this? Imagine being 20 years old, on your first deployment and in a strange, hostile country living in barracks or tents, sometimes without electricity or an ability to connect to phones or internet. Now further imagine that it is during one of the most family-oriented times of the year, but you are away from your family, spouse, children, friends and the warmth of your living room.
